One more addition. I was voted my high school’s most athletic, which some other guys took umbrage with. See, I sucked at arm wrestling, had modest raw strength, and no explosive movement. But late that year, during track, these same guys saw my weight room routine and changed their minds. I could bang out 50+ push ups no problem, 20+ pull ups, dips for days, and lots of inverted hanging curl-ups (toes to hand, with legs completely straight throughout). And most impressive of all, a 100 consecutive double jumps without rest. And I would do these all in a circuit sometimes, with no-rest transitions. And my squat wasn’t terrible, especially for someone my size. Built guys like Logan may be ok at boxing but would be lousy at a lot of these things, especially the double jumps.
There’s no such thing as general all around athleticism. Your question contains a false premise. A great female ballet dancer will never be a great shot putter.
Since the question as you intended it doesn’t make sense, most of us read it the way that does make sense, I.e., which of these is a better, more accomplished athlete? That’s obviously Jakob. In boxing, Logan Paul is just a noob.
Nice cope.
You are in denial if you don't think all-around athleticism exists.
You don't think there are individuals in the world who have a natural ability to excel in sports more easily than others and to outperform others?
When you were growing up, did you not have any classmates/friends who seemed to be have an easier time learning and being good at all the sports they tried? You don't believe that these individuals have innate physical and mental attributes (aka athleticism) that enable them to be naturally more proficient at these sports than others?

That guy was me. But mostly because I stuck to the things I was good at.
I do believe there are people who are really generally unathletic—because of illness or some other predisposition. But no one is capable of achieving a really high level of athletic performance in any and every sport. That’s not how talent works. To believe that requires an artificially confined—and really quite strained—definition of sports, I.e. it’s only really a sport if big dudes do it. That definition cuts out rock climbing, gymnastics, running, probably even soccer ..all kinds of sports totally arbitrarily.

you're making a strawman argument. i never said there are people who can achieve really high levels of athletic performance in any and every sport. but there are people who are certainly better at a wider range of sports than others. take OBJ for example. he is good at catching footballs, playing soccer, golf, can slam dunk (at 5'10"), can dance, can throw fastballs, can hit homeruns, can sprint short distances at basically an elite level. that's a huge range of sports and athletic activities. i think it's a wider range of activities than what Jakob would be good at. and some of these activities (like slam dunking) require basically no skill and only raw, natural athleticism, that i don't think Jakob has.

This is an argument that I can get more behind. But this is still trickier than it might first seem. Clearly there are sports that require somewhat similar skill sets, where performance in one would be expected to correlate to at least some degree in another. Football and track come to mind—a classic pair that has been around a long time. But the reason for high performance in both could be that they require similar skills and not because of a general athleticism. If we only pay attention to 4 or 5 sports, then someone who is good at 2 or 3 of these (more than half of all sports!) will seem generally athletic. But that would be ignoring all the sports they suck at (e.g. gymnastics).
There is one common factor for sure though, which is the ability to focus intensively on an activity and create structured, deliberate practice routines. During grad school, my wife had a winter break that didn’t quite align with mine, with an extra week at the end. She went to Costa Rica. Before she left, she casually placed a set of juggling balls on a table, saying “In case you’re interested in learning..”. And that was all it took. I was an ace juggler by the time she got back, practicing at least 2 hours each day.
I think that’s how you get guys like Stephen Curry, who can play well at two really different sports (golf and basketball). Not because of athleticism but because of athletic mindset.
the question is who is more ATHLETIC. jakob has only proven himself in one activity. in what other physical activity would jakob excel in besides running? it's really hard to tell as he does not have a background in anything else. logan paul has done amateur wrestling, boxing, and according to the words of people in the pro wrestling community, logan paul is doing better than a good chunk of the wrestlers in the WWE. that's athleticism. i'm no expert in the body building department for when it comes to talking about roids, but jakob is far more likely to be a cheater than logan paul is. it goes back to argument that pro cyclists used during the lance armstrong case. it's impossible to win a tour de france without cheating. in jakob's case, it's impossible to win world championships and olympic gold when there are world class athletes who are known cheats who are still slower than you.
jakob can beat logan at every running distance, but logan paul wins when you compare the two in all departments
So we have : One guy who fight +40 years old retired MMA fighter (a new sport with a shallow talent pool) vs a guy who's dominant in one of the most competitive sport in the world.

Floyd Mayweather is not, and has never been an MMA fighter. MMA is also neither a new sport, nor does it have a shallow talent pool. There are literal Olympic gold medalists in the UFC. This shows how ignorant and ill-informed you Jakob fanboys are.

Dude, compared to running, even swimming has a shallow talent pool…requires pool access, which most people in the world don’t have, and sorta pointlessly divides its athletes into the free, back, breast and butterfly strokes. The history behind this division is itself a fascinating topic, rooted in racist beliefs about the savageness of the free style stroke practiced by native Americans and indigenous Australians. But I digress.
MMA has far fewer competitors than swimming even. MMA is seriously bad ass and I am not trying to knock it. But at the end of the day, it’s just math and baseline odds..there’s no way it is as competitive as running given the difference in the size of the pools of competing athletes.
Laughing and laughing. Ingebrigtsen is one of the world's greatest and most dynamic athletes of his generation. Logan Paul is just a youtuber. If the question was who is more successful in social media, then sure--I'd go with Logan Paul. But as athletes, it's no comparison.
The question isn't about which individual is more successful in their sport. Obviously that would be Jakob.
The question is who is more athletic. The average NCAA Div 1 running back is more athletic than the greatest bodybuilder of all time.
Put it this way. if you had to play 10 random different sports, who would you rather pick for your team: Jakob or Logan?
If those random sports ended up included pentathlon, swimming, cycling, skating, xc skiing, soccer, hockey, ultimate, sprinting, hurdling, and triple jump I'd probably go with Jakob.
