does anybody else touch her 3 million followers? she should probably be the highest paid by far. maybe double everybody else
I'm sort of confused as to why she has over 5x what Noah Lyles has. Both of them seem like people you know about if you follow track even a little, and not people you know about if you don't, so what gives?
i was also surprised he only had 500k. kerley has 1 million. would think lyles for sure would have more than him.

Noah didn't become famous for being popped for weed. Don't get me wrong -- I like them both. But Sha'Carri is more high-profle with the masses.

SCR has mass media appeal unlike tryhard Noah. The PR stunt of him calling out NBA didn't garner as much attention as he wanted.

Noah a lame and a tryhard. Sha’Carri is authentic and more relatable. The Weed suspension did help tho ngl. She gained 2.2 millions off that alone and 700k this summer after WC.
There’s simply no way that she’s making that kind of money. She wouldn’t be signing a new contract now anyway. Her contract would have been written to go through an Olympic cycle, so it would be through 2024. The only possibility is that another company offered her a big contract and Nike decided to match the offer. They would have first right of refusal. There’s no way in hell that she’s getting 4-5 million a year though.
no one is paying a T&F athlete 20 million, not even Nike and especially not someone as volatile as her.
I get it- because we live in the US. But don't forget, Track is truly international. People in India know who she is. People in India may not know any NFL, NBA, MLD players. They're more likely to know NBA but that's the idea.
How much would say, Conner Mantz be getting if he was running sub 2:02 and in the hunt for sub 2?
I agree, 20M seems high but it's for 5 years, that's only 4M a year. From that perspective it doesn't seem like too much.
Super reliable source . Pulse sports ?? Probably some dude living out of a grocery cart casing the gate up in Beaverton.
You never know. I personally know a pro distance guy who is doping (injecting hormones into his body), I’ve name dropped him anonymously, and it receives downvotes and dismissal from other posters.
It doesn’t sound extreme, she has a HUGE social media presence for track athletes, her testing positive for Mary-j lowkey helped her. Social media has a huge impact on people’s contracts nowadays- unless if you’re Galen Rupp of course.
I know a few pro's and by association some others. These are runners no where near her popularity or success.
While they're not making what NFL, etc would make, I think a lot of the letsrun guys would be surprised how much they ARE making.
It's almost like they don't want anyone to make money in the sport.
I remember a story of Bob Kennedy making 300K for a while.
The good news for track fans is that, whatever the amount, her contract definitely includes a drug clause and a behavior clause. (I cannot remember the legalize phrase for behavior, but you get my point.)
The bottom line is that Sha'Carri will have a huge financial incentive to keep the crazy bottled up.
