From Mary Cain's Strava, I think it's safe to say she is not. She only goes slow nowadays, nothing with intensity or any racing.

Looks like in her only triathlon race, she didn't meet the time standard of USA Triathlon to continue getting sponsored by them.

Like the OP, I don't understand what's going on with this "professional" team.

Even though Atalanta NYC appears to have a large staff whose numbers would put many pro-ish groups to shame, it appears that Karisa Nelson is the only runner on the roster. [I will leave the discussion as to whether she can still be considered a pro to others.] Aiobhe Richardson left and moved to Bend, Oregon over the summer although her departure was not announced until this month.

After not seeing Aiobhe in the NASDAQ pictures, I checked out her Instagram. Her last two posts are a July 18 post stating that she had been training in Bend, Oregon for several weeks followed by a November 8 "Farewell" post stating that she had recently moved to Bend.

Notice how Mary would talk to any podcast/media outlet/etc about how bad NIKE was to her, then she filed her lawsuit and BAM!!! Radio silence since. Smells like someone signed a non-disparagement agreement and got PAID!! She was asking for $25mm in the suit, probably settled for something nice that will keep her working on ending more running careers at Atalanta. LFG MARY GET THAT CHEDDAR!!

You are right, Aiobhe Richardson has left Atalanta NYC. There truly is only a single athlete left on Mary Cain's "team". Puzzling why they even have 2 coaches on the team roster, 3 coaches if you count Mary Cain also being a coach as indicated in her NYRR profile:

Oh, and if you check out the comments and likes for Aiobhe Richardson's farewell post thanking Mary Cain and Atalanta NYC directly, not a single like or comment from any of Mary Cain's social media accounts. That's just stone cold and the exact same thing Mary Cain did to Coach Jon Green when he left Atalanta NYC.

Honestly lmao. All this for two, no wait now it's one, sub-elite athlete.

Atalanta is a fake organization.

The shell game is, the board members get to brag that they're on the board of a charity. Mary gets to identify as a CEO for media purposes. Sponsors get a nice tax write-off.

I doubt it. Per her Zwift results, she is a very, very slow cyclist. It's interesting how when she declared she wanted to try tri, many were skeptical of her swimming. I'm guessing she is a very good swimmer and honestly, your average pro triathlon is not a stellar swimmer. (They are good but nothing like a competitive pro swimmer.) But you need to be a very, very good cyclist to succeed in tri, and I think Cain is hopelessly lacking in that area.
