5K in 26:57 at age 63. A great day.
W by 2 minutes at a small 5k, just under 19. Brought the effort down a notch after the halfway turnaround because I was far ahead and don’t feel great due to a head cold. The guy I normally dual and get second to was a DNS.
Bada$$
We ran intervals up a sand hill instead. Imagined I was Ovett.

Nice job.
I took home the coveted age group Bronze Medal.
Won my old man age group in my hometown turkey trot. Then ate my bodyweight in turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, and pie.
My 5K trot in DC went well. Course was flat; temp was 49F/9C at race start but with little wind for the most part. Only felt gusting of the wind as we crossed the National Mall segment. Given that yesterday the temp was in the low 60s/14-17c it was not too cold on race day. I enjoyed the trot, even though I ran it slower than I thought I would.
Ran it in 30.17 and I am pleased. Now that I know the course, I will aim to run it in about 30.00. the next time.
As a person of a certain age with health issues, I was lagging well behind the young'uns. When I approached the train crossing, the gates went down, bells rang, lights flashed. I could see the train down the track far enough away to make a dash across the tracks, but a police car was nearby, so I chickened out and waited 2 minutes and 2 seconds before I could start running again! But, I enjoyed seeing the blow up turkey costumes some people wore!

You slow normies are jealous! I hit the three mile mark of this morning's Trurkey Trot 5K in 12:20 with a huge lead and decided to walk/jog/dance it in. Being a festive event, I thought it best to give little kids a bunch of high fives to inspire them to take up running. As I ambled through my two minute victory celebration, some local slowtard decides to kick for the victory while I'm doing the Lord's work getting the crowd hyped. No cheap victory for you! I sprinted after him and proceeded to hip check him into some heavy steel barriers. I still get the win and the adulation of the crowd, he gets a DNF and a broken collarbone complete with ambulance ride to the hospital, and his smokin' hot and very embarrassed girlfriend got her bird stuffed in the backseat of my Jeep Wrangler!
Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble, gobble MFers!!!
Brojos,
This runner deserves special mention on the next podcast, certainly a free LRC T-shirt, and high praise for upholding the spirit of competitive desire we appreciate on LRC.
Participation Medals are for Losers
At the Gobble, Gobble, Gobble in Somerville MA yesterday, a 74-year supposedly ran a 20:16 for a 4-miler.
His last name was Moran, which some of you might find relevant.
My first 5k in 50-59 age group. 19:43. 3rd place in that age group. Top 5k time in 40-49 age group 20:24. Go figure :) Happy Turkey Day!
Busted a 27:46 5K. Gooble Gooble. Only 3100 people ran in my race.
At the Manchester Road Race I got 65th overall and a new PB of 25:21!
My wife was victorius for the 3rd year in a row

Slow news day?
I won overall but comp wasn't great. Beat the next person by 2 minutes. Course was hilly, lots of potholes, weather was freezing, my time was 16 seconds off what I hoped to run. Just had fun I guess. Couldn't really get into a fast rhythm.
5mi race and finished in 29 minutes flat. Good event and great weather
I did a one mile 5k, time wasn't important. Body positivity all the way.
