My old HS coach, Stephen Mangiapane, inspired a lot of the workouts that German did back in high school.
Also, for the doubters that question the age gap, while it is large, it's still certainly possible. They may just be half-siblings. I have a half-brother who is 14 years younger, and another half sister who is 17 years younger.

Not your typical age gap in siblings but it could happen. I have a senior in high school and a daughter who will be 1 next month. When my oldest was born I was 26 and when my daughter was born I was 43. Same wife!

A "based on a true story" of German coming back to take on Jacob would be an international blockbuster movie.
He still runs a little bit per his strava. In march he did a relay and ran 10 miles at 6:30 pace. Also had 900 ft of elevation gain starting at 3300 ft of elevation. Probably not contesting Jakob anytime soon, but he's still got it.
