Why is the Palestine support movement so much more prevalent than Ukraine?

8000 civilians killed? Where did you get such accurate numbers? Al Jazeera, who reported this directly from Hamas count? It takes weeks to count the casualties in the war, yet Hamas is feeding the friendly press and they take it without any corroboration as a fact. Yet, if IDF reports anything regarding casualties (on either side), whole world uses the words "allegedly", "unconfirmed", etc. Just like with the Hospital casualties of "500", caused by "Israeli bombing", which was found to be utterly untrue - Hamas had misfired their own low quality rocket, which exploded in the PARKING LOT of the hospital, without destroying any surrounding buildings. Thus, there was no Israeli bombing, and there were no 500 casualties. Yet, the mass protest of savage palestinians all over the world erupted. Bunch of gullible idiots.

Yet, the press/news are reporting 8000 "civilian" casualties as a "fact". Lets call it "Hamas fact", or better yet propaganda.

There certainly are civilian casualties, but the numbers are unknown (yet). Hamas is entirely responsible for every single one of them - for the attack of a much stronger opponent and for not letting the civilians to move, even after they had been warned by IDF well in advance. BTW, no army in the world would have done that in the war.

Comparing Gaza situation to Ukraine, is disgusting. Ukrainians have lost almost 200.000 people since the Russian invasion, which was totally UNPROVOKED. Ukrainians had not assaulted Russia. Russia had invaded Ukraine as an usurper. Hamas had attacked Israel, as a terrorist group (not an official army - thus Geneva convention does not apply to these savages), and uses civilians as human shields - their own people I must add. Now their asses are being kicked big time - what else did they expect after the horrendous acts they had committed? Or are you defending rape of children, cutting off heads and burning and torturing to death the captives? They should crawl from their tunnels (built from generous support of the EU instead of using it for the benefit of civilians), give up and accept the punishment. The lives of civilians - of their own people - would be spared. Hams is going to be totally destroyed either way - nobody can stop IDF. The question only remains, how many civilians would have to die along with them.

It's because Ukraine sounds like a do-it-yourself crane-rental business, and businesses come and go, so who cares. We Rent Cranes isn't being attacked, plus its rates are cheaper. And there are other options.

Because it's a religious war, and the US has many people on both sides. On the other hand, no one in this country really believes Putin's lies about why he had to invade Ukraine. No reason to protest, since there's no "other side" to protest against.

Something about the Israel and Palestinian conflict just brings out the crazy in people. It doesn't matter where you live or what your background is, everyone has a very strong and immovable opinion on it within maybe 5-10 minutes of overviewing the topic. At least, this is how I remember it being in my class at school where we covered this.

Also, there's something very strange about this conflict relative to human history. Right or wrong, the mightier of the two sides would have won the war, evicted or forced out people that were suddenly not welcome under the new ruling authority (most would have likely just welcomed their new overlords with open arms to not be met with bad outcomes), and that would have been the end of it, at least until some opposing force returned the favor in kind. But here we have a confluence of events unique to contemporary geopolitics keeping this conflict going 70+ years later.

1. The US did NOT overthrow the government of Ukraine in 2014. The Ukrainian parliament voted 328-0 to remove Yanukovych after he fled the country (to Russia).

2. Ukraine spent 8 years fighting Russian-supported terrorists (you know, the ones that used Russian SAMs to shoot down MH17). This was after Russia invaded Crimea.

3. Russia intervened long before 2022 - invading Crimea, supporting terrorists in Ukraine, try to kill the European Union–Ukraine Association Agreement.

Three points, nearly a dozen errors and made up shyt. Even more impressive. The US most certainly did overthrow the legitimate Ukraine govt, causing the maidan, in which supporters of a legitimate Ukrainian govt were killed and shunned. The Ukrainian people voted 70%+ in favor of Yanukovich. It is the Ukrainian terrorists that have been spending 8 years shelling, murdering separatists (including hundreds of women and children)in E. Ukraine and taking away their freedoms and culture. The Ukrainian terrorists also spent years undermining and tearing apart the Minsk agreement intended to solve the E. Ukraine breakaway.

There is broad support for Ukraine, but it's less newsworthy because it's mostly not controversial.

Support for Palestine is more controversial, hence is amplified in whatever media is influencing your perception.
