I know who Swift is but admittedly don't know her music well, so I went to YT and listened to 2 or 3 of her top songs including one about shaking something off.
To my ears her voice and songs are not particularly distinctive in anyway. From a purely superficial standpoint while she is not unattractive, she is a bit gangly and goofy looking. She does not appear to be much of a dancer either.
Is it tweens, teens that account for her fan base and what is main draw?
She is bridging the gap between crappy music and the NFL.
