Charles seems smart and thoughtful, and I can't imagine he just robotically joined BTC. A positive spin might be that this is his opportunity to become the face of the team. With Grant and Cooper gone, he is the young member with the brightest future ahead of him, and eventually he'll probably be joined by Birnbaum, etc. from Oregon. Also, it seems like for the veterans, the sudden move to Eugene was an issue, but Charles came post-move knowing what he was in for. Obviously not ideal, but I do think there's a silver lining to be found.
This is growing on me. With a coaching change and a more southern high altitude camp things would be looking up.
Big 10 realignment is also a factor, Oregon in & Stanford out (3 years of budgets cut & 11 sports removed).
