Gjert vs Henrik -- Who was in the wrong?

Oh no, on the other hand it doesn't need to be fueling of speculation to say Jakob and the brothers still messed up cordial and loving family relations despite not having 'enough' evidence to say so. I'm a scientist by nature and the theory of falsifiability says that you only need 1 teeny weeny trigger of proof, not even proof, to falsify the whole damn truth completely and collapse it. I'm not saying this needs to be a rumor or rumor-mongering but nothing about the news we have read so far about Jakob and the brothers alienating daddy Gjert and mummy tone is a rumor or rumor-mongering AT ALL! It's a FACT! The reasons for such alienation, however vague or rumoring it might be, does not change the fact of alienation which is all that matters for me to conclude what I conclude. The reasons DO NOT matter, only the finality of the act and actions. When you talk about morality, virtue ethics or deontology, you only care about the final act and never about the reasons because rules are sacrosanct, utility isn't!

The total running guy claims an article said Jakob told the federation he wouldn't race for Norway again unless they remove any of the prohibitions on Gjert. If true, this drama, as it affects Nordas, will be over shortly.

If Jakob said that and this was the year 1 A.D or even Victorian 1820, I assure you he would have been burnt at the stake by the leaders and elders of the day or something like that. It wasn't even Henrik who should have said it since he is the eldest brother and supposedly calling the shots with Gjert.

Well then it's quite clear right now that the 'finality of action' is Jakob clearly alienating Gjert not only within the family as a son to a father and vice versa but also alienating Gjert's professional duty as a coach to Nordas that extends outside the rules, laws and confines of their father-son relationship which is then undue and uncalled for.

So 2 things from an exquisite high-sighted RF King like me:

1) Alienation of father-son relationship

2) Alienation of professional trainer-trainee relationship which encroaches very far outside father-son relationship

But wasn’t Jakob the one who wanted that with his brothers ? I don’t understand anything anymore.

If gjert indeed abused his children, he deserves prison time

And bullying is wrong, you agree? But bullying of children is worse than bullying of adults and physical bullying is worse than statements and legal harassment, right? So, you should agree that Gjert's physical bullying of his children is worse than the reaction we are seeing now from his sons and daughter.

If he is found guilty of pushing/ hitting Ingrid, he will receive a fine. Prison isnt on the table.

Rumor has it that Gjert wanted Ingrid to starve herself/eat less to perform better. They had a very tense relationship and Ingrid made some decision that Gjert didnt agree with and they got into a harsh argument.

So why do you go public with this before you know it’s something more than only a (false) rumour..?

Because they're petty, petulant brats with outsized egos and absolutely no maturity.

One can have a theory of who is bullying who. But there’s a larger picture here one has to base this theory on: 1. What Gjert has said and done. 2. What Henrik has said and done (more than only the so called bullying). 3. What Jakob and Filip have said and done + the rest of the family. 4. What Nordås + his training partners have said and done. 5. What Henrik’s training partners have said and done. 6. What the Norwegian Athletics Federation has said and done. 7.+++

You can of course cut out a little one sided piece of this larger picture, and claim you have the truth. -Nice…

I want to hear Tone’s take on all this.

Nordas has nothing to do with it. He is 100% getting a different treatment from Gjert than his adolescent children, as he is a grown person and a non-family member. Gjert taking on Nordas is also very likely to be out of revenge against his kids, just to prove the point.

Interestingly, the one child that has not taken a stance against Gjert is the one, that was not into professional running. Therefore it is possible that Gjert was abusing his kids in the name of implementing his training ideas, as he could be suffering from megalomania and narcissism.

What?! It's not like Gjert just decided to coach Nordas as a form of revenge - has been coaching him since he was 15yo! What a terrible take, and no one cares about your anecdotal personal experience.

I do care about my personal experience and I firmly believe that there are tons of "fathers" like this. Gjert is one of those.

Interestingly, Nordas took up 1500m seriously and had his massive improvement at the time when Gjerts and his sons relationship began to crumble.
