I think he was injured. Cole raced a hell of a lot more than Cooper this year, and with impressive results. Glad to see them reunited!

Jerry was a good coach when he left the NCAA, but now he has been driven by personal profits. He has too much on his plate to coach a pro team. Plus he cheats withe illegal shoes, and got away with it and with nandralone.

My guess, he feels lonely in the group and not much fun. There's no one I can think of who he would be friend with on that team. I know, it's his profession and all, but if you ain't having fun, you won't perform to your potential. Good luck to Cooper!

I just looked and he raced a lot more than I thought he did. I think because the results generally weren't that great, and they weren't very big meets, it was easy to miss.

Can confirm, Coop was at the Virginia Invitational

Grant and Cooper race totally different distances. Cooper is a 1500 guy, Grant's best event is nearly 7x longer. Obviously Jerry's a great coach and Grant is an impressive runner, but that's doesn't mean what works for Grant works for Cooper. Smart move by Cooper.
