Hi Astro, I am aware of your position on Wiley, but thanks for reiterating!
I think it's possible the dopers very well could GAF sometimes about their reputation. If a clean athlete is sent through the public mill, should they always give up, give in, or do what anonymous people (who are not for them) wants them to do? I would say no. Sometimes, having integrity would require taking a reputational hit. I don't claim to know either way with Wiley, but I think your definitive statements about what you don't know are not helpful towards your arguments.
Yes, the testing is always behind. And, yes, I can see why people would be suspicious (as I already said), but that isn't enough to claim 100% guilt. You may call that clueless or brain damaged on my part (which ironically is ad hominem, one of the lowest forms of argument) , but I think that allowing oneself to possibly be wrong later in order to give possibly innocent people the benefit of the doubt is a virtue.
