Grant Fisher looked great in this race. One could see in his face afterwards how happy he was to be racing and racing well. The Italian crowd showed their appreciation for a great race.
When American runners do well in other countries and exude how happy and thankful they are to be competing, I can’t but help feeling a sense of positive diplomacy that can never be matched by words from our political hacks.

Way to go out on a limb...........medals are hard to win. 10% chance he medals at some point, that said he's still got better chances than any other American distance runner.
LOL, jogged it???? No, he ran well but he didn't jog it, that's ludicrous. He was working hard.
Fisher kind of was jogging the first part of the race. Then it picked up and with a mile to go. When he decided to go around the pacer he put it down on he rest of the field by running 2:24 last kilometre.
Reading some of the other posts, I can’t understand the negativity. it’s not a lot, but it is just silly. Other countries would love to have a guy like Grant Fisher running for them and representing them. He is a classy guy.
