Delaney has been hired and is exceptional. This gives Avery options. He can hire another coach and split the squads and Delaney can handle one side or he hires a more experienced coach and that person oversees both sides with a talented assistant.
But everyone will be critical of the hires because Brosnan Bros can’t imagine anyone else but him being successful.
That’s insulting to Brosnan. He cared about the athletes and continued to coach the athletes after being fired per the athletes request and them having no coach. I think you got things wrong. He only stopped helping them once this assistant was hired. Not exactly the actions on someone who didn’t want them to succeed.
That wasn’t critical of Brosnan at all. He was an excellent coach. It was critical of all you fan boys.
Archie Noakes (Australia)- 3:45.75, 4:01.63, 7:53.86, 13:52.41, 8:57.60 St
Sergio Del Barrio (Spain)- 3:49.75, 8:05.94, 14:20.42, 8:39.16 St
Tayson Echohawk- 4:01.07 mile
Dan Watcke- 1:47.70
Will Heslam- 1:49.79, 3:49.36, 4:08.92, 8:29.91
James Harding (NZ)- 1:47.96, 3:45.17, 8:27.33
And a few others.
The amount of money given to Oregon and UCLA in distance is not close. You have to pay for athletes. Oregon should be better , but I agree Brosnan did a great job

Jerry is returning UO men to almost all distance, even let Micah Williams go play football. This year's signing class receiving 7.8 scholarships. May have more representation at Nationals in future but forget winning national track titles with this distribution of money
Men’s recruits Freshman : 8:57 -3200m 9:04- 3200m 3:46 - Freshman Transfers : 1:46 - 800m 10k - 28:31 ( decided not to come as Brosnan didn’t get renewed)
That’s a good men’s class. They lost Staggs and a great 10k guy since Brosnan didn’t get renewed. They still have some talent to work with though. And the women we don’t need to mention times and names as it was more public for everyone to see. They lost the entire top 5 women who transferred.
This was a sold men’s recruiting class
Add a 9:17 and a 9:24 and yeah, that’s a horrible men’s recruiting class for a team that has their sights set on being a national contender. If you think that’s a good class, you just don’t know what the good team’s classes look like.
There was only 3 recruits I'm not sure what those two 32 times are directed at lol. You sir a very pessimistic man and unhappy with yourself, check Ronan McMahonStaggs' times when he was recruited by UCLA, he hadn't even broken 2 in the 800 before. People can and will develop in a college environment it's foolish to criticize a recruiting class before giving them time to develop into college athletes.

That is NOT a recruiting class that will contend for a national title or anything even close to a national caliber program. Maybe Brosnan could have turned them all into McMahon Staggs or maybe they would have been hurt like the majority of the team. Analyzing a recruiting class is based on what they have done before college, not 4 years down the line. That's developing talent; 2 totally different things.
My favorite aspect of Brosnan replies is the projection that someone must not be happy with themselves if they don't bow down at the Brosnan altar. It is a fact that class is not a good recruiting class. I doubt it has anything to do with a person's personal happiness to point it out.

“I just want – I want people to run fast. I want to help them run fast and reach their goals and do great things. I want to – I want women to run under four minutes [in the 1500]. I want guys to run close to 3:30. Those are the people I want to coach. That’s what I want to do.”
Brosnan, who coached the greatest boys HS disatnce team in history at Newbury Park, has confirmed to LetsRun.com that he won't be returning for a 2nd year at UCLA. "I'm disappointed. I'm bummed. I'm upset. I don't want to pre...
Oregon has one of the best sprint/hurdle coaches in America and he's taking away all the money and putting it into distance where they won't score any points at the NCAA's . Idiots.
