nordas must be considered as a potential medal threat now if the pace goes slow, or even if the pace is fast as we have not seen his true potential at the 5k

If he wins, he is illness free.
If he loses, he has a fever.

Honestly he’ll probably win he’s really a 3k/5k guy and, imo, the second best 5k guy ever after Bekele

I don't consider Nordas as a threat for a medal. I won't say it's impossible but not likely at all in my opinion. Here is why :
First, his 5k level is very far from the top guys, despite the fact that he is probably worth sub 13 at the moment. The fact that he is the 2nd faster 1500 guy is not enough to compensate.
Moreover he is new to this level and an accomplishment such a bronze in the 1500 is huge for him. He is probably very tired mentally and emotionnally (physically also to some extent) now because he is not (yet?) the kind of athlete programmed for medals and doubles.
I also think it's unlikely we see a very slow race (>13:30) where he would relatively be advantaged. A "slow" race with this field would be like 13:15 pace with a fast finish to somewhere around 13:00 and it's not something slow for him at all, it's an almost all out effort while it's kind of a "jog" and kick for the top guys.

Nordås only chance is that it will be a relatively slow race, and then full speed at the last 800-1000. And he knows that, for sure. His potential under optimal conditions is approx. 12:55. But Jakob can run as fast as he needs. So we say 75 %. You never know, you know.
