I wonder how many of us have Beamish for 3rd just in high hopes. I've got Girma first and El Bakkali second though.
The level of the womens 100MH has been insane lately. Running 12.8 in the heats doesn't even get you an automatic qualification anymore. 10-ish years ago that could get you in the final.

is it just me or is lane 9 kind of a great lane? You can just focus on your own race/progressions and ignore what's going on in the other lanes.

I would think especially for hurdles, where there's much less chance of contact or hurdles ending up in your lane.

Interesting that the Jamaican, Tapper, starts rather off-center in her lane. Her blocks were clearly to the left side of lane 2. I guess that's to allow her right trailing leg more room and not tangle with whoever is on her right.
