He posted something about Bowerman on Instagram today. Does he think he's going to be working with Oregon/Bowerman?
That wouldn't surprise me. Sean Brosnan gets along well with Jerry. And although Brosnan would generally prefer to be the main distance coach at a school, I think Brosnan would make an exception for Jerry/Oregon.

he bails on the HS gig just before the start of the season, then does pretty good getting kids faster, but does enough bad to not get rehired, and we are thinking he is going to be with Bowerman now?? This guys dips dodges and weaves doesn't he.
He has always been a Nike shill and posts about Nike all the time.
This ^^^^
Also, what happened to the girls wanting to be close to home? A plane from the east coast isn't much different than a plane from Oregon.
Why are y’all actin naive? These young women are clearly not even hiding the fact that it’s an athletics-motivated decision. They didn’t even bother with a caption. They both show promise as future national-caliber athletes; they likely want a place to train where they feel they feel supported. Simple as that.
HUH? She made a MASSIVE mistake going to DUKE. Then says she transferred to UCLA (one of the top academic schools in the UCLA but a dud XC team). Then weeks later decides to go to Oregon (a dud academic school with a 78% acceptance rate). Was she ever recruited by Stanford, NC State? After an outstanding senior year in HS, she's been a huge flop in college.

She only ran cross country and few indoor races at Duke. She was going to transfer to UCLA, but the coach didn't get renewed so she never went. She transferred from Duke to Oregon technically and has 4 years of track and three of cross country left. Not sure she had time to be a flop. You're jumping the gun

Huge flop? She was acc freshman of the year in xc and a key member of school record setting dmr in indoor, both at Duke.
eugene summer and fall will look amazing for a socal native
winter and spring though, especially for someone with darker skin, vit d gonna be in the gutter a few months into the perma-misting
fr though, good on her for taking the opportunities life is throwing at her
She might struggle with the weather. but I noticed when I lived in SoCal there was a huge Oregon/SoCal connection. the Left coast. I wish her well! but I have no idea what the SoCal to Oregon winter/spring adjustment will be. If she already had to face East coast weather in the winter though...
She was in the top 7 High School recruits that year. Was her dream school Duke? That is my nightmare school. I would like to know if she was recruited by NC State, Boulder, Stanford? Didn't do that well at Duke, and by then, nearby NC State didn't want her. Announced end of Freshman year she was transferring to UCLA- in top 5 public academic colleges in USA. Near her parents in Manhattan Beach. Then next day- transferred to Oregon. Why would you do that!!! To go from two TOP ACADEMIC UNIVERSITIES in the USA to a college Oregon with a 78% acceptance rate. How embarrassing. She's made nothing but bad college and running choices. Look, she's not Katelyn Tuohy at all. She should have just stayed at UCLA to put it on her resume, because she's done now. Fall 2024.

OUCH. Why do you care so much about what other people do with their lives?
Hoping that Barnett does well in Tokyo & that Frias has a good season.
NC State was also recently in Park City. I wonder how many other teams do these camps at altitude and how long they are? A week at altitude doesn't do a lot in terms of physiology adaptations and any that are made are quickly reversed when coming back down in elevation. My guess is that it is done primarily because these places, Park City, Flagstaff, etc, are great places to train. BYU, NAU and some others are lucky in that regard.
