Sometime research gets it wrong - and the fact that they have changed this three times now kind of proves that point.
Solution - use your own brain/experinece
If you have been carbo loading with success in a certain way, why in H### would you change it because some morons tells you to.
IF you have not been having success (relative to other programs) why would you wait till a study comes out to try something new.

Big fan, but I have to admit i'm a little shocked and saddened you refer to the delicious potato as "french" fries. They're still Freedom Fries in my household and, I assumed, all across the fine red state of Texas or "teXXXas", if you will.
I love fries, my favorite are the loaded fries from outback.
The problem with french fries is if you eat too. many of them, you may start speaking french. I did an entire book report thesis on fries in college, and their history and origin and how they shaped the great country of France (paris in particularly).
I also did a book report thesis dissertation on levi Strauss denim company. Much to my dismay, their company came out against assault rifles. I immediately and expeditiously BURNED every pair of Levi's that I owned.

There's a popular misconception that french fries were invented by the Netherlands and/or Belgium. The Dutch invented over 100 deep fried dishes but potato fries were invented in Paris, France as you correctly pointed out.
I'm sure you know this but denim was also invented in France. Denim = de Nimes.
Correct amigo. Notice that Dutch runners like sifan hassan and femke bol dont sit on their butt eating french fries all day, so they obviously weren't invented there.
Just some food for thought for you. Here in America, a masters degree presentation is called a thesis and a doctoral degree presentation is called a dissertation. In Europe, it's actually topsy turvy. A masters degree presentation there is called a dissertation and a doctoral report is called a thesis. I learned all of this while getting my M.S. in neuroscience.

Awesome man. Wish I could attend your university just to sit in on whatever class you're teaching and glean endless wisdom about so many topics. But unfortunately I hate almost everything about academia so I avoid it like the plague. Good to see there's some good guys in it tho.
I agree with you that academia, atleast at the collegiate level, has become nothing more than political biased brainwashing. I am one if the good old boys that still teaches real, authentic, scientific facts. No nonsense. Just the facts. If you do not getting anything else out of what I've shared with you today, remember this:
Running is NOT an art. Running is a science. We learn science everyday to "tweak" how great of runners we can become. Dumbos who are psychologically inept at science do not and cannot become great runners. It's just not possible. They cannot grasp and comprehend the type of scientific knowledge that it takes to have good pacing, good nutrition, adequate training, adequate recovery, and most of all, they do not have the MENTALITY that it takes to have a passion for our sport and be a brilliant raceday tactician. Running and racing is a mind game, plain and simple. All of those english/history/law embiciles do not have the cognition or the intellectual capacity to make scientific APPLICATIONS in their daily lives to be a phenomenal distance runner. Math is the only universal language, and it is the language that defines our athletic prowess not just as athletes, but as human beings.
Science is NOT the process of arriving to the solution of a problem. That is the only the point of the scientific method. It's not the point of science. Science, my friend, is simply how things operate naturally within a system WITHOUT human intervention. Its nature. A politic is not a science, because politics were invented by man. If it was made by man and not nature, then it's not science. Please study the natural processes of physics, chemistry, and biology. When you dedicate your entire solitary life to observing and understanding the "big 3" and how you can use them to manipulate your body and manipulate others, only then will you be a TRUE laboratory scientist.
