Kara Goucher is about as truthful as Amber Heard.

She also didn't say Galen "just got fast all of the sudden", she talks about how before Daegu, Alberto tried to get her to take something, which he had already been giving to Mo and Galen. She was further suspicious when they were able to hit back-to-back hard workouts and hard days, while it was inconcievable for her as she seemed to need much more rest than them.
1. I suspect that Colorado was doping under Wetmore, especially the Gouchers, who btw, brought their existing relationship with the shady thyroid doc to Salazar/NOP, and then had the nerve to later question why everyone on the team had a thyroid condition.
2. Gouchers were old. They way things played out makes it seem like they jealous of Rupp/Mo, thinking Salazar was holding out on the good stuff from them, because he'd already written them off as done, and not like clean or wannabe clean runners who left to get away from a dirty program.
This thread is so predictable. At least 50% of regular posters here have an irrational hate for all things Kara. They also hate all women runners. Molly, Emma, Monson, etc. Most of them just hate women in general.
So guess what? The posters that hate all women are not interested in a book written by one.
I don't really like that her evidence of them cheating was Alberto wanted her to take vitamin b12 or whatever and she didn't because it didn't look the same as the other vitamin b12 pills she had seen before. She could have pretend to swallow it and had it tested. Of course she didn't. She also claims she had testosterone rubbed on her. When? Oh years later when she's trying to profit off it. I just dislike the timing and that she's trying to profit off of all of this. Feels like she's trying to either lie or act like a whistle blower so if real evidence ever came out she could be the good guy in all of this.
I'm sure she was wronged to an extent but saying galen recovered faster than her which is suspicious is narcissistic at best. The women clearly has some issues going on. Also knowing she emailed other pros begging for their spots makes me question her as a person a lot. She doesn't seem to handle failure well at all. Whatever I guess.
That’s your take? That we hate women? Nice deflection. Should I then assume that you hate men based upon all of this information?

Maka sum money off of it tho
It’s all clickbait . I have no interest in reading anything from Kara Goucher
he said , she said
she just wants book sales
It does seem as if Kara waited for the MeToo movement to take off and then she said “me too.” This doesn’t mean she is lying but I know if I am being victimized sexually. I don’t need a movement to confirm it.

I tend to agree - although Salazar has made himself an easy target through his own dishonest practices.
I don't know who published this book, but it was almost certainly cleared by a legal team to protect against future defamation litigation.
She’s a lying yenta looking for easy money.

Had a lot of interesting chapters. From the college days at CU to becoming the highest paid female runner. The way she describes Alberto, as well as how she dives in to the unnatural progression of Mo and Galen was interesting to say the least. So all in all if you're a fan of the sport its definitely worth the read.
Cancel Kara. Don’t buy her book.
No
In what chapter did she explain this email to Salazar?
"Alberto, I love you and love being coached by you. But if you don’t want to coach me anymore, please tell me now. I cannot go through another year by myself like this past year. If you don’t want to coach me, please tell me now so that I can figure out what I am going to do. I can’t stress enough how much I love you coaching me, but I can’t handle these types of threats leading into an Olympic year."
And in what chapter did she respond to all her false accusations that Salazar debunked with proof?
Can’t believe she’s still bringing new accusations to light. It’s been a slow roll over YEARS and the accusations continue to escalate, which just makes the whole story highly difficult to believe.
I wouldn't pay for a copy, but I guess I'd flip through it for free to read salatious details about the alleged abuse.

I'm reading Anaïs Nin's Delta of Venus, much better.
Why didn’t she go in on Vin Lananna. A man who uses mafia style intimidation on anyone who double crosses him. Has set out to destroy the lives of athletes who separated from him at uva. A very brutal human. What’s up Kara vin get a free pass?
it has always defied belief that Kara was winning world medals on the track, setting american records on the roads, competing for wins in marathon majors - by far the best athlete Salazar had coached to that point. but meanwhile he was running a doping program on the side for galen who at that point had never won an ncaa title
maybe they're all dirty, but it just doesn't make any sense that in 2007-2009, Kara was one of the best runners in the world and was totally clean while her coach was doping other, lesser, athletes
and as others have mentioned, the gouchers brought the shady houston thyroid doc to salazar after starting to see him while they were still in boulder with wetmore
It is a very good book, and her accusations are true, you get to choose if you believe it or not. Either way, the sexual assault by Salzar was disgusting, and I am glad to see Kara to have the courage to bring that sick man to justice and hopefully help.
