Guess what? You run less meters when you are good enough to race in the front. Hocker races like a high schooler, sitting back and expecting to outkick everyone.
He got 13th and ran 3:32 because he ran tactically poorly (extra distance) while others raced better. I’m not glazing him but I’d rather that be the case than running 3:32.0 with no incidents. You could say the same for Tim. Hocker finished 6th in the Olympics with big Qs. I trust he can correct his tactics.
