I think you are partially misinterpreting what is said in his analysis. He did run the same pace with the same uptick in pace for the last km in all of the trials. The difference in 5k time is just an estimated difference between the fake and real VFs based on the minimal increase in efficiency.
not that it is relevant or anything, but i remember back in the early days of beyblades, the chinese counterfeit beyblades were more powerful than the official ones because while the fake ones used cheaper plastic, they were simply heavier. heavy beyblades = more powerful beyblades.
Maybe I’m slow, but how can a shoe be fake? Is it a knockoff? If so, that would be insane you could even enjoy running in it. Most runners are somewhat picky in choose footwear!
Sometimes the factory might run two 8 hour shifts making "real" shoes. Then they add a third shift, doing the same work. But they're fake shoes because they weren't actually ordered by and delivered to the original company.
Or that's just Big Counterfeit trying to make me think their products are just as good. Who knows.

And to the person who mentioned the whole "the first 2 shifts are made for the big name manufacturer", you're exactly right. I've ordered a number of things the last few years that are identical to the brand name. Arcteryx, Nike, Outdoor Research, Yeti, you name it.
Vaporflies have been on the market long enough for the Chinese to dissect them and figure out how to counterfeit them for 10% of the price.

Maybe there are no differences in materials and costs between Vaporflies and counterfeit after all. A pair of shoes is worth 30 dollars at cost. Someone is willing to make them and sell for 50 dollars to earn a smaller profit, while Nike needs to sell at 100 dollars to cover R&D, at 200 dollars to buy private jets for executives, and at 300 dollars to pay astronomic endorsement fee to star athletes. Hence coming the trade war.

Awe Crap. I just watched this guy's entire video. They most certainly not the same shoe made in the same factory. He didn't disparage them completely. But to me it looks like they are designed to impress people that you can afford vaporflies like a fake Rolex watch. He said they feel and run entirely differently.
Gotta pass. But if anybody finds true Vaporflies made in the same factory without the Nike label, I am a buyer. I could not care less about prestige of the shoe.
