I can't believe I'm defending PV here but gullible ≠ stupid. A lot of people just don't assume their first and only interaction with someone is thay they're taking advantage of you. Sure that's a sign of a privileged life probably, but aside from the tangent comments she made. in her interviews she doesn't really come off as daft or anything denoting lower Intelligence. Being open and honestly emotionally about one's life and mistakes is generally a sign of some form of intelligence. I'd rather be more like her than how most people are in the world at least lol.

I only received a small allowance per year, and only the very richest students at my college (typically foreign royalty or similar) received allowances of greater than $50k per year.

What I do not get is why didn't her bank notice the unusual account activity. Maybe I missed it, but banks will freeze accounts due to seemingly fraudulent activity such as successive withdrawals. At least they used to.
