I was confused by Hussey being in the B heat, but since the heats went the same speed pretty much, I guess that's mooted. Would be cool to see him race in a high-caliber race. Ostrava perhaps?
I think that's his only chance of getting the Q before British Champs. I don't think there is any way he can climb high enough in the rankings now.
I think he has it in him. Seems to have settled on the 800m as his distance now, and it's working. Several years ago he was still running 400m to 5000m, but he said at the time that the plan was to gradually discover his best distance. He is 6th fastest in Europe this season.
Myers is now officially the fastest ever non-African U18 1500m guy.
Now three seconds faster than Jakob at the same age, and he's just turned 17, while Jakob was almost 18 when he ran 3:39.
Jakob ran 3:31.18 when he was 17. 16 to 17 was probably his most significant jump. I think Myers has a bright future but I don’t see him running sub 3:31 this year. http://age-records.125mb.com/

Sorry if I am mistaken...but Jakob ran 3,39 in 2017, and 3,31 in 2018. He is born september 2000. Doesn't that make him almost 17 when he ran 3,39 and almost 18 when he ran 3,31?
world athletics considers the year you are born, not your actual bd. since jakob turned 18 the year he ran 3.31 they don’t consider it U18. weird, i know, because he was in fact 17
