Chelimo reminds me of Centro in the way he starts off looking horrible, has 1 or 2 decent races, then suddenly looks like a contender a couple weeks before USAs. I wasn't following back then, but in 2016 wasn't Chelimo .01 ahead of 4th at USAs, then got a medal in Rio?
After the Oslo 5k, someone pointed out how exciting it was that the 2 guys battled to the line with no Chelimo tactics. Ngl I agree, because as much as I like Chelimo, I'd rather him come 2nd at USAs in an Osloesque finish than him running way wide like he did a couple years ago. The USA 5k is gonna be insane this year. I hope Fisher is ready, because the only reason I think he even has a shot at the team is because I have faith that Jerry is peaking him right. I have full faith in Mike Smith, so I've got Nur and Kincaid making the team. That makes it a tough race between Klecker, Fisher, and Teare. If Fisher isn't on his A game, I think Teare takes it. You guys remember that 13:06 he soloed in the rain last year with Hocker? In April? He's already run 3:32 so he may not even run the 5k, but if he does, it's hard to bet against him.
