credit to the Welsh team for being total gentlemen and not scoring 50, which they easily could have done. looked like they were playing at about 50%. I have no doubt their coach told them to go easy so as not to humiliate them any further.

Yes, 0-12 seems unlikely against a pro men team. 0-50 seems more likely, with a bunch of injuries on the women side.

Getting a ball in the face from the lowest men league pro player would pretty much guarantee an ambulance trip to any female player.

Just to clarify for others, Wrexham is moving up from the 5th tier of English football to the 4th tier (since they were league champs last year).

There are other examples of this, like the USA women's team losing to Dallas U15 boys team. Soccer is very physical so no surprise there's such a huge gap between men and women.

This was not a Wrexham team that has any resemblance to the team that just got promoted into the 4th tier of English football (Yes Welsh teams Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Wrexham always opt to compete in the English pyramid).

Lee Trundle who scored 4 goals is a semi-legendary player but he is now 46 and even at his peak never played in the Premier League, the rest were retired other than a couple of journeymen and youth players. Having said all that, they still were not trying very hard.
