Athing Mu owes NO ONE an explanation or a compete in any race until she feels it time. Yes it would be nice to see her racing but this is her occupation and her obligation is to herself not her fans. Whatever her goals and racing schedule will be revealed when she is ready, so please just set back and wait til she competes. Whatever the reason I'm sure when she emerges she will impress her fans and let's just hope it's a later start to her season then normal and not an injury.

Who? "Occupation"? At present, she's a talented ex-runner, whether a burnout who maximized her gift or just disinterested in sport now... who knows?
And speaking of sport, she is TERRIBLE for it now, and no amount of mansplain caping changes that fact.
Valbymania and a resurgent, more mature Sha'carri are the future.
Her coach is a meet director for the LA Grand Prix or whatever they're calling it at the end of May and he's said both Mu and McLaughlin will race there.
Are you sure about that? I saw an interview with Bobby Kersee about 10 days ago and he said McLaughlin was definite and Mu was still a maybe.

She's a professional athlete and Olympic champion. She's getting paid by a large shoe corporation to market their products and the sport. Imagine the Laker's not explaining why Lebron James isn't playing the first two months of the season ('We'll get back to you'). Make something up. It doesn't have to be detailed or too personally revealing. This is reason #5495894 why track isn't popular...
She sat near me at the MTSAC Relays last month with Brandon and Sydney. Athing is a star and everywhere she went in the stadium lit up when she walked by. She hasn’t lost an important race yet. She’s likely to drop a 1:54 later this summer. Y’all just sit back and wait!

Oh good God VIPAM is back spewing obsessive nonsense. we all know Mu isn’t into racing anymore. Whatever contract she has she will do the minimum required. And as for the other person you’re obsessed with - she will be short lived too.
For the latest news regarding training and racing. The LA Grand Prix is coming up soon, so I'm sure we should get some info as to if we'll see her race.
Good point. Given the connection with the LA Grand Prix, it makes sense for Kersee to save McLaughlin and Mu’s season debuts for that meet, to try to make that meet feel special and draw a bigger crowd.

What a strange post. Athing was popular at Mt SAC Relays so she'll run 1:54? That makes no sense.

But of course he did not say that. He said she was a star and whatever about the stadium lighting up when she walked by. Then he added that she is likely to run 1:54 this year. Whether you agree that she will run that fast or not, you must admit that the poster is not saying that because she is popular that she will run 1:54.
Nope, it's the mentality you hope she has. You're not the first person to want a total stranger to fail, but you got to admit that the object of your obsession is a little pathetic.
