Dale Worton is one of the sickest talents to grace gods green earth. Coaches himself apparently. First track session back after 6 years of jogging. 16 x 400m at 5min/mile pace. Pulse back to 120 bpm in 60 seconds between reps!!!!
I live in Bradford these days, Buttershaw/Wibsey area, so I'll look him up. There's a good 5km every Saturday morning in Lister Park, Manningham area of Bradford. Course record 15:05.
Coe's mom was mostly Caucasoid. Cairess a little less actually but still 75%+ Caucasoid, making him 90% Caucasian. I like him

Last week in the Lister Park 5km Park run 13 year old Jake Norris (Bingley Harriers A.C.) finished 3rd overall in 17:30! around 300 runners (estimate) took part. Cairess is a former Bingley harrier before moving to Leeds City A.C.
I found out recently that he lives in the same area as me, but I've never seen him lol.
Very interested to see how he does this weekend. Just hope the Extinction rebellion nutcases don't ruin the London Marathon (they are threatening to).
I live in Boston but have never seen Jonathan gault. Crazy
I think conditions for the London Marathon tomorrow with regard to climate will be close to perfect so fast times should be realistic for runners looking for personal bests. I'm at the Tower Hotel now and conditions are very good. May I recommend the Vicinity Restaurant within the Hotel for the Vegan burger and sides, £16.50. I believe the ingredients within the vegan substitute are acceptable with apparently minimal additives. The "Garden Club vegetarian Pizza" (also in the Vicinity Restaurant, Tower Hotel) is also excellent. The courgettes/zucchini toppings, fresh and excellent. £16.00. Reasonable prices, good quality. Failing this, the two amiable Filipino concierge staff will guide you, headed by Mr Bondoc from Subic Bay, Philippines, should you desire alternative options in Central London.

Mitochondria is passed down thru the maternal line, so i'd stake much of his genetic abilities on his English mum.
Better mito means better oxidation of glucose. But wait, there's more. It's true that for Vo2Max, oxygen utilization in the muscles (via mito) is *not* the limiting factor for elites, as it is in the untrained, because the elites have such a high mito density. However the mito of elites have other powerful abilities such as utilization of fats and lactic acid. Tadej Pogacar has freakishly low systemic lactic acid at very high outputs. This is due to fast conversion of lactate in the cytosol, the intermembrane of the mito within the outer cell wall, preventing the lactate from going systemic. Elites also have active fat molecules nearby ready to be utilized. So the elites mitochondria have optimized energy transport channels for glucose, fat and lactate (probably also amino acids and ketones) giving them high cruising speeds for submaximal races.
So if Jacob Nenow is a pretty fair runner would you say that most of this is due to his mother and not his former American record holding father? Or am I misunderstanding you?
Good point, probably both since having good mito is necessary but not sufficient. Many other heritable factors such as not being built like a defensive linemen, power/weight ratio, fast/slow twitch ratio and quality, VO2 max (many underlying factors here), trainability, personality. Is injury rate heritable, not sure?
Also, maybe Nenow's mother would have been an awesome track athlete if she trained well?
Back in the day Canova would have posted Cairess' build-up and it would have been awesome to read and learn... alas... the glory days of Letsrun are behind us.
That was before all “great” coaches were revealed to have a team of “doctors” doing most of the heavy lifting . So all their training theories are nothing without a team constantly analyzing their blood work
