Would someone of her caliber travel that far to run an 800/1500 speed workout? I think trip was to spend some time w/new coach and find a place to live, if she will be us based.
Since you ask, I'll go right on 4:02. Logic is kt was very solid at that 4:24 level indoor. Now continued good training, lightly raced outdoor.. Still April too early for any faster. 4:02 would be collegiate all time #2.
Thanks, thought it was new news, but it's old news. Where in NC is Cragg based?/
when they started a few years ago they were in the triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel HIll) i believe. Plenty of good trails and close enough to Boone which isn't flagstaff or Boulder but plenty high enough to get in some beneficial runs at elevation. Not sure if they are still in the same spot though.

Yeah I say kt runs 402.4 for the win if there is a good pacer

If KT runs the 1500m at Sound Running she'd be able to break 4, that's for sure.

It's almost odd how out of the way they go to avoid mentioning where in NC. I just did some quick Googling and checks on social media and every single mention just says North Carolina...
It's a big state with a wide variety of terrain. No one says their pro group is based in "Colorado"
Typically i would not expect too much from Koko at season start. 2019 at her best outdoor season she did start with 2 800m/1500m combinations. 2:07/4:09 followed by 2:04/4:03 was no indication for her 8:20,07 3000m breakthrough race at Stanford.
Kt has not raced in a long time. She will definitely take this one slow just to get her feet wet. Probably about 5 minutes. Wi'll start with a very slow jog and then gradually increase and probably run a 70 the last lap... be great to see her out there again.

For sharpener workouts these are actually quite good doubles. The first pair are in line w Tyynismaa's prs. The second pair match up w what Touhy's prs 'should be' about now.
Quite impressive that her workout was better than kt's actual bests, so it did indicate a 3k quicker than 8:35.

Anyone know which event she is racing in Doha in two weeks?
