Achilles issues suck. One thing I'm really leaning into with dealing with my own injuries (a bit of the achilles tendonosis, not as bad as yours, and a few other things) is being very active without overly stressing it. Just going for walks, gardening, etc. Lots of relatively low to medium effort physical activity. It seems like when runners, or most athletes, get hurt they just lay around and wait for it to heal, which stops being effective after a short while. I don't know what you do outside of running and work, but just some food for thought.
