He's still greatly improving his performances from race to race, so there's no need for any drastic increases in mileage.
At this rate, by the time he's 20 years old, he'll be running 80-90 miles/wk, and will likely have had no serious injuries.
There are a lot of youngsters his age who train further than 50mpw. What is interesting is that on 16 year-olds modest "diet" he isn't running like a 16 year old.
