Houser not Waskom but otherwise yeah wtf. Impressive close from Basten (0.01 slower than Green if you go directly from 809 to finish time) but if anything his race shows he can put himself in poor position against equally good runners. I won’t be shocked if he does win though.

That was my first time seeing Essayi run. He really needs a clean ride in front in the final because he is slight and was easily moved out of the way in the heat a handful of times. He would have to hold his spot in traffic, so his best bet is to try to run away from the field early and see what happens.
He just barely missed the title by 0.03 seconds! Dude has always had a killer kick. I'm sure he's bummed to have been so close to winning but he should be really proud of this one.

Your assessment was right. He is a real talent but not explosive/physical enough to come from a ways back. Got 3rd to two athletes that ran a little more aggressively.
