Personally I think his strategy is wrong if his focus is to win a medal in world champs.I say this for two reasons. Firstly I think he does too many races in a season .Secondly I think he has peaked too early. He could have timed his peaking to atleast early April. I think it will take a 9.6xxx to win the world champs.
Nairobi 5000ft isn't the same as Denver 5000 ft. . It’s nearly on the equator, therefore the air is not as "thin" as in Denver.
Interesting. Kenyans are able to run quite fast there. 3:31.0 from Kipsang last year, and 3:34 is common in championship races there. 13:15/27:20 otherwise with some faster times of late.
Omanyala I think is fine. He can train hard until the Kip Keino meet in April. This is a relatively normal time to be running really fast, we’re just used to it being in the 60.

Yeah, Kenyans are able to run superhuman times on home turf where the anti-doping testers accept tea money bribes and text warnings to athletes. What a surprise.
A bit like Beyer in Prague 78, or Straub in Moscow 80.
And to think Kenya might host a World Championships soon...

😳
I would bet that it is in fact thinner, because it might be likely to be hotter and more humid in Nairobi than in Denver…unless Denver’s actual elevation is somewhat higher than Nairobi’s.
This time is hilarious, look at how he ran. Look st the turnover, insane.
No wonder I hardly follow track at all anymore—it’s now like watching loser bodybuilders: something to which I would never aspire, a culture of which I want no part.
I may be just a lone voice in the wilderness, but 9.86 in February bores the hell out of me.
When the world athletics chief says Kenya "faces a long journey to tackle its doping problem" he is indicating it is a crisis of among the most serious of its kind in the sport.
But you want to argue they aren't East Germans. Big deal. Corruption is corruption - however it manifests. And Kenyan sport is corrupt.

Whats your risk tolerance sprintgeezer?
Nairobi hottest months are feb-mar avg daily hi-low is 81-61 and much less humid.
Armstrong: Kenya? Isn't that the country where they dope like E Germans?
You have shown now that you don't know anything about E German doping. Why are you doing such a comparison then? And why do you feel the need to lie?
You fail to understand the nature of a rhetorical question - which is effectively a statement. I wasn't asking you for you uninformed opinion, liar soorer. That's who you are, under another of your many fake handles.
The East Germans were amongst the worst dopers in sports during the Cold War. Today, the Kenyans are amongst the worst dopers in the sport of running. The comparison remains valid.

The situations in Kenya and E Germany are completely different.
In E Germany, children were doped. State organized.

True. In Kenya virtually everybody dopes. It's a national sport. It doesn't need state organization.
