That was a great race! I love that Baloga never once looked back when she made her last move on the hill. She just kept focus on looking ahead and staying relaxed at speed.
I'm going with the Junior (Griffith) in the boys race.
Stacked fields, and I'm just enjoying the competition of the day (not bemoaning those who aren't racing today).
Baloga 16:48, Shea 16:55, Noe 17:01. Noe had the race of her life! I saw her at Roy Griak, where she finished 2nd, 31 seconds back from Abbey Nechanicky. Also saw her at NXR Heartland, where she was 2nd, 18 seconds behind Nechanicky. Last week she was 10th at NXN, looking great there too (and something like 26 seconds behind Nechanicky…).
On the girls side I feel like its Shea's to lose. I dont see anyone in the lineup that could match her best effort with Riggs not running and Engelhardt still recovering. But we know how Shea goes. Her ceiling is a new course record. Her floor is a DNF. Hoping for the former.
Anyone know what happened to Bob Kennedy's daughter Sophia? She was 5th at 1 mile, 6th at 2 miles and ended upa DNF. Did she just go for broke? If so, I kind of love it.

I. Rex goes home devastated.
I did not think Balaga was quite that fast. Shea ran well but Baloga was better
