Very true, he pushed and trashed talked the second place runner in the RI state meet the whole way. It’s very dish especially considering that runner has learning disabilities (not trying to say anything bad 2nd place runner is one of the best kids I’ve ever meet as a person) but devan has been very cocky and it’s not a good look on the state
It’s douchey but not unheard of. I know someone who made up a large gap in a 4x800 but barely lost, so for the first 7 laps of the 3200 he talked to his opponent about how easy it was before running a sub 60 second final lap.
Kipyego talks down to kids with special needs, no amount of fast times can make up for being a crap human, when you're old and fat and your times and PR's are nothing more than stories, you won't have much else
How would Kipyego know if any of his opponents are special needs? If someone was special needs, why are you revealing that individual's private medical information online for the entire world to see?

Holy sht is this sport boring if you guys can make an issue out of this. He wasn’t making some terrible attacks against Cox, he called out a competitor before a race and beat him
Check out the comments on this post. Runner space posted Aidan Cox for their nxr northeast post. Devan apparently saw this as a slight and replied “@aidancox didn’t you just get 5th at New Englands?” Not a great look. Some of the replies imply he’s got a reputation for being less than humble. I wonder if Iowa state or his coach knows about this. Wouldn’t want this kid on my team.
