I second RunningAHEAD, which I've used for 13 years now. It's free but you can (and I do) give a small donation and go ad free. I'm often amazed that after all this time I still haven't found anything else that's both free and comparably good.

This combined with Strava. Follow pro's or semi pro's who post their training on STRAVA, use spread sheet to document training. and adapt paces and distances to your level. It's free...you just have to do some work to extract the data, and experimentation with the training to see if you are on track.
