Garcia holds off Wightman.
Garcia holds off Wightman.
Might have won if he didn't spend time in lane 2.
0.83 seconds from first to last.
Garcia’s race reminded me of Mu holding off Hodgekinson move with 20m left.

Garcia, Wightman, English, Kramer, Robert
Benny was a disappointment and I wondering what he was thinking when he was trapped at the bell well behind the leaders. Robert is on French TV now saying his legs were sore. However, he says that he is satisfied with his fifth place and he thanks his sponsors, his coaches and family. He is gracious in defeat and I’m impressed with that.
Gressier was just featured on TV on channel 2 and they showed him training a few days ago doing intervals and then the Frenchman commented that he’s going to give absolutely everything he has in the race and he’s going to make it a very hard race. He reminds me of Steve Prefontaine.
Ghost prediction: Wightman, Pattison, Garcia/Kramer (one or the other)
above, was my original prediction.
Just like in W 10K, M 10K with a false start.
False start to the 10,000 m, you’ve got to be kidding me!
Gressier & Scott smartly bolt to the front with much of the remaining 24 other runners jostling.
Scott looks like he has a very restricted style but it works for him but actually I much prefer the style of Atkin his compatriot.

Wightmans limitations in the 800m showed. Gotta run it much differently than the 1500. Letting yourself get shuffled back multiple times is what will cost you even if you’re a half second fitter than the field.

Atkin always looks like he’s jogging even when he’s running fast, so impressive!
Gressier 2:40 first K!!
I think it’s seven minutes plus in the race and they are on a pace of sub 27 minutes but someone please correct me if I’m wrong….Gressier, foolhardy?

At 10 minutes seems to slow down and all the BRITs are there or thereabouts, incl Cairess.
Jimmy mène un gros train pour casser et user tout de suite les adversaires.
Même si ça ralentit maintenant, les trois premiers kms vont laisser des traces.

Atkin took a drink at around the 10 minute mark but was that really necessary.

Oui tu as raison mais Gressier doit faire attention lui-même de ne pas brûler tout ses cartouches
