Agree. Anyone know what her last lap split was? I think they went through the bell at 3.03, with a 4.01 finish - approx 58secs last lap?

according to the official 100 m splits, Muir last 400=60.39

Okay, thanks. I thought I saw them take the bell at 3.03, so was suprised with the 4.01 clocking. Still, a 60.39 last lap isn't too bad at all..

Steeplechase starting now I think it’s going to be an Italian versus Spanish team race with the others intermixed. These guys are tough and the pain barrier in the steeple chase is huge. Abdelwahed favorite on paper but will he have the mentality to win? I think someone may cause a surprise and it won’t be the person we think….
Bedrani has the thinnest arms in the lineup but strong arms aren’t necessarily needed to run well in the steeple chase they are just an accessory. Bucholz also has twigs for arms.
Raitanen almost looks like a triathlete compared to some of those ectomorph champs.
Abdelwahed wins the pre-race 3000m bedhead competition.
Italy and Spain should at least get one or two medals. If not - Big disappointment for those countries with the expectations placed on their shoulders.
The Italians (twins) continue to lead but France's Bedrani should be there at the end.
Jakob would have won this steeplechase.
Nice 'Finnish' ftw! Italy 2, 3.
...and the big Finn opens his legs and shows them his class!
Raitanen ! SUOMI ! yes decent speed having run 3:38/1500 last year but I did not expect him to win. I grew up in the 70s with monsters like Kantanen, Who in the early 70s were running similar times around 820.

But he's no ZOG Salami.
Lots of Finals in next 60 minutes. M 200, W 400H, M 400H, and W 200. Keely & W 800 tomorrow while M 800 & 10K are Sunday.
Topi: he also has 1:48 800 m speed which is pretty decent for a steeplechaser - not many of his rivals can post that kind of time over two laps
The Israeli sprinter only 18 years old ran sub 20 seconds in the world Junior under 20 championships in Cali Colombia a few days ago.
Yes! Good for Raitanen. That's the winner I wanted to see.
Not interested in Finnish arse nor Italian salami. M 200 on the line. We going under 20 flat? No one sniffed it here yet. Maybe Hughes?
