Palatine is actually gonna be good in 2023. They have a lot of seniors this year and will be really good this year. But for that 2023 year they will return:

Alex Krieg - 4:44 1600 - Class of 2026

The 3A speed ratings are pretty good overall. But I was surprised to see Palatine at #3 (well above the #4 team) but I can see them do well this year. They return most of their squad and has a really good freshman coming in.
There are also lots of teams looking to have a big 4-5 gap but those gaps are looking to be closed
Palatine is also looking to be really good in 2023 as well.
For that year They return:
A really fast class of 2026 guy.
10:12 c/o 2025 guy.
10:05 indoors c/o 2024 guy
4:38 1600 guy (class of 2024)
Another really fast class of 2027 guy who dominated the middle school race at Detweiller Park.

Orland Park (Sandburg) had their first meet. Strong top 4.
the rest of their varsity ran in the underclassmen races.
I feel like they will do better this year and the polls project. They lose their top 3, but they still return a lot from their championship team.
