Its no secret that Nike is known to cut athletes for lack of performance. I would estimate Sha'Carri is on barrowed time. I would estimate Nike will cut her contract within the next 6 months to year. Nike is multi billion dollar corporation for a reason and they will not continue to pay an athlete that is not meeting the standard which she clearly is not performing to standard.
Nike has continued to pay Colin Kaepernick despite not playing a game in the NFL since 2016.
I don't think it is Nike that is paying him and if they are its a complete waste of money on another piece of trash
Its no secret she was set up to be the US's next star athlete after Felix retires. She started showing up front and center in commercials. Nike and other sponsors feature her everywhere.
Then she blows her big coming out party by missing the Olympics. All the commercials get scrapped--they're unusable for the Olympics as she won't be there. NBC chooses other athletes to feature.
Then she starts souring sponsors w/ her 'wild' personality and social media. Skips part of 2022 season to go under the knife for aesthetic surgery. Gets blown out at US trials. Two major championships and nothing to show for it. Pop culture moves on quickly, and athletes age quickly. Could we have seen the best of the young athlete already? I reckon she cost herself 1-3 million dollars in the last two years. What do you think?
Can't wait for the Boomer meltdown on these boards once she starts to blitzkrieg the competition in 6 months.

Different situation.
They're not paying Throwsa Parks to be a professional football player.
They're paying him to be a professional fictional victim.

I'd forgotten about the cosmetic surgery. One of my running friends recently had that done and she was out of running for 4 weeks and she wasn't 100% when she started back. That's a lot of training time to lose. Maybe Sha'Carri isn't washed up. That said, I'm not a fan. Hopefully, she's also seeing some counselors to get her head on straight.
