Shelby’s range is insanely incredible. She is an American record holder at 1500m and 5000m. And i believe she would have broken Molly Huddle’s 10,000m record, hadn’t she gotten banned last year.

1:16 is ridiculously slow for her. I don’t know if she runs tempos that far, but if she did, 76 minutes away would be an easy one.
I dunno why I thought she would run a half in under 70-75 minutes. For a second I thought she was one of those runners who gets like 2:20’s on the marathon. Or at least was that runner.
Well chrissake I could almost take my only chance to beat a former US record holder where’s she racing next? obviously she’s mentally and physically deflated for popping bows my chance! I’m a man btw

This. Her 1500 and 5k AR’s are pretty close to my PR’s, and a 1:16 half would be a VERY controlled effort for me. If she was actually racing, or even as a tempo, this is a terrible time for someone of her caliber.

I ran this race and saw her at the start. She was very friendly and was taking pictures with everyone. Everyone was very polite. Shelby is from Okoboji, so it makes sense that she'd run her a race in her home town. It was overcast and 99% humidity at the start. I ran an ok race, but was 4 minutes slower than I wanted, mostly due to the humidity. That 76 she ran would have been a lot faster on a better day.
