Initially thought they were an ON prototype but the silhouette and cutouts in the heel make them look a lot like Nike's. Don't know if this has been brought up already, but thought it was odd, especially with ON recently releasing their spikes.

Yeah I think you’re right! I had seen a pic of ON’s website with the spikes but I don’t think you can actually navigate to that page on the website, just by searching or with a direct link:

Although it's true that they are not required to wear on and they don't, I'm not sure it's 'whatever they want'. It's Nike, period. That's been the case since OAC formed, except on a session when Sweat Elite shows up. But they ain't in New Balance.

On has it built into their pro's contracts that if their athletes are any less than 100% satisfied with their racing shoe offering, they're allowed to use a racing shoe that they feel works better for them.
