So theres you hating him for exercising his EARNED(Not given) right to fly to Tokyo with the intent of running. Then there is him not wanting to be given a spot that he didn't actually earn. Nuguse is living in your head rent free.
The logistics of giving another american a spot on the world team this year makes so much more sense with the world championships being here as well.
After the podcast with nuguse I left it thinking he was a great guy. Checked his Instagram afterwards too and he made a very mature post about not attending the Olympics. Does he really have Lupus? Or is this a BS rumor as to why he is in the hospital. The reason I ask is that is some serious stuff that may impact his career as the condition is like a heart condition and trying to alter your training after needed a stent or something. Lupus could seriously alter his recovery time considerably and may pose a risk factor on his life to really push it like he does.
The post seemed to be made in a relatively light manner so I doubt it is that serious. If it was really bad I don't think it would have been made public.

I have a friend who went to USA champs last month and posted a selfie of them with Cooper after the 1500. The same friend tested positive for Covid a few days later. So USAs might have been a spreader event.
