Notre Dame Distance / XC Coach. Who ya got?

More hands? He already coaches distance and still has two remaining distance coaches on staff.

Doubt Eric Heins Leave Louisville, I could see Danny Stults from Illinois St. Either way it won't be a minority hire.

Rumor I heard is Cole MF. SHOCKER is coming in as the coach with Cade Flatt as the assistant. 10 MPW maximum.

Heins makes sense. He didn’t seem to be doing much at Louisville but ND puts him back in the limelight with minimal work. Solid coach that gives ND a chance to not lose too many.

It strikes me that the successful candidate must buy into Notre Dame. Not a negative comment on a fine school. But buying into the culture seems significant.

Why would he leave being the head man at Furman to be an assistant at Notre Dame? He's already done the P5 assistant thing & clearly doesn't need back in...

Notre Dame won't be hiring Heins. Sparks will become the Men's HC. Look for them to bring in a Midwest-based assistant.

Honestly, this isn't far off. It will likely be somebody connected to Danny Mackey that will come in as the assistant. Current assistant Baylee Mires was a former Brooks Beast member. I've heard that Sparks and Mackey have a good relationship.

If I know anything about Letsrun it will be whoever gets posted and everyone calls it stupid, wrong, and won't happen

I could see that. Biggest question would be if he's willing to be under Sparks and what kind of relationship they have. I'm sure their paths have crossed.
