Which PRO team will land Katelyn Tuohy?

Bowerman has recently had a number of women quit the team who all publically complained about their time at Bowerman. And Bowerman's fastest runner is serving a 4 year drug suspension.

If Tuohy's decision ends up depending on who has the better team dynamic, then OAC wins that easy.

I would bet on the Adidas team in Flagstaff. She and Elly Henes seem really close.

I got my undergrad degree at Michigan and masters at ND. I have a son at ND and another at Princeton. Both have 4.0 GPAs. I have a pretty good idea about academic achievement. I don't know how smart she is but she made a decision to attend an average D1 school. You are free to list the average ACT scores of 300 schools that have track and you will see that NC State is not in the top 20%. It technically is above the average but that logic says that 50% are above.

If she is really looking for the team atmosphere, I’d go with BossHard and Emma Coburns group. They seem to really support one another, rally around each other and are a solid team.

Congratulations of your academic accomplishments. That was not my point. The fact that you took the effort to downplay Tuohy's choice of school says more about you than it does her. It is pathetic that you are ridiculing a 20 year old woman but something tells me that is not unusual behavior for you . You then felt the need to let everyone know where you went to school. My original assement of you stands - you are dense and insignificant. You seem to be the type of person that is a talker and not a doer. Many have undergraduate degrees from schools that you would deem to be lesser than Michigan, ND, and Princeton, yet are more than likely doing a lot better than you are.

FWIW, I hold and undergraduate degree from the U of Chicago. I don't feel the need to brag about that and I generally don't share that unless asked. If I had to guess, Chicago is a good bit more difficult to get into than Michigan, ND, and even Princeton.

i think nike will make a new team, main members would be cooper teare, cole hocker, katelyn tuohy, and the other ncaa champions and top recent up and coming male and female distance runners will join that new team soon, me thinks.

NIKE makes a new team, including all the new generation distance talents aka NCAA Champions!

BTC's reputation has gone down, and they don't dominate U.S. track anymore.

If her progression continues another year or two, predict she'll join Nike. Whether it's BTC or a reformed team is the question.

Coburn is a 9:02 steepler, Grace ran multiple 1:57s and 4:01 in a breakout season with the bosshard group, Cory McGee made the Olympic team with a huge 4:00 pr after several years of stagnation at NB Boston. Rainsberger could potentially be top 6 at USAs in steeple after running 9:33 early season. Dom Scott also thrived under them as well as Emma Bates.

Someone would be smart to sign the whole team while they're still at NC State. They like each other, train well together, and run fast. Is there any reason to wait for them to graduate/leave college in this day and age?

Princeton is a great school, no doubt. The entrance requirements of Princeton and U of Chicago are very similar. In some years Chicago's incoming class probably has a slightly higher profile and other years Princeton's probably does. It is six of one and half a dozen of the other, really.

The poster that I was responding to came into this thread to hate on Tuohy. That was his sole intention. He is Insecure, insignificant, and a loser. I don't care that he went to Michigan & Notrea Dame. Katelyn Tuohy, attending her "average D1 school," has accomplished more in her life than that tool has in his. The guy is so insecure and cowardly that he cried to the mods to have a post of mine removed in which I rebuked him a bit strongly. Simple people have simple minds.

If you have read through this thread, you know what sort of a tool were dealing with. To reiterate, here are some of his posts:

If he has a "son at ND and another at Princeton," which somehow I doubt, he's probably in his mid-40s to mid-50s. What sort of a man of that age makes disparaging posts about a 20 year old woman on an anonymous forum? A man that is insignificant, weak, insecure, and cowardly, that's who. Folks like that would not make those comments on any forum unless their anonymity is maintained.
