I'm not a fan of Biden. I also agree with you that the spectacle element of the hearings is intended to sway public opinion / give the Democrats a boost in the midterms. That doesn't mean that Trump isn't a bad hombre, though, or that Jan 6 wasn't a coup attempt that is worthy of congressional investigation

Black Lives Matter got tear gassed for blocking the street. Police beat back anyone near the cordon and would have shot anyone breaching the perimeter of the Capitol building.

The question is why the Proud Boys and the Oathkeepers were not treated the same? Where was the tear gas? Where were the armored police?

Sorry. Just count me as one of the American voters who is more concerned with things affecting me on a daily basis. Things like gas prices, food prices, 401k tanking.

I think January 6th was an embarrassment and is something to be concerned with, I just think this is an obvious political stunt. Have hearings, whatever. It just doesn’t make sense to have it broadcast the way it is other than as a political ploy. If you’re too partisan to see that, oh well.

I'm a Bernie bro and even I don't think this was an insurrection. Nobody was charged/convicted of insurrection, so it is factually incorrect to call it an insurrection.

Democrats are going to get destroyed in the 2022 election because we are focused on Jan 6th when 95% of the american people have moved past it. Shouldn't they instead be trying to fix inflation which just hit a 40 year high? Go fix infrastructure or solve global warming.
