Does anyone know if she has the qualifier for USAs in either the 5000 or Steeple? She also looked pretty good rabbiting those races last week, not that she would likely make the team, but would be good to see her out there mixing it up again.

I'll just say it folks, I'm happy, joyful, ecstatic even for young Allie - for her to come back and run 15:48.
HOWEVER, (i'm just going to say it folks), If I were somehow able to turn that door knob on this goshdarn forsaken hamstring, i think we'd be looking at a DUB for DGR FAM-A-LEE. I know what you're thinking, Seth, you're not even eligible for Freihofer's run - you're a man! And to that all I have to say is...Butter my bread!
I believe you probably know this but Kim Conley only receives shoes. She does not really have a Nike deal. I am sure that Allie could receive the same. Many athletes are interested in image and want to say “I’m a Nike athlete” but that is really stretching the truth.

First of all, a deal is a deal, whether it's gear only or not; secondly, you have no idea what deal Kim Conley has or doesn't have, you just speculate. All you people do is repeat what you hear and accept it as fact with zero evidence to support it.
She is 100% going to get a deal with Nike; with her social media presence, marketability and personality, its a no-brainer. They signed Kim Conley, so... yeah, no-brainer.
Wow, I did not know they signed Kim Conley. I don’t mean this in a disparaging way, but ‘why’? I thought her better running days were well behind her.
I don’t mean this in a disparaging way, but you’re ignorant. It’s a gear-only contract.

She went through 2 miles in 10:30 and closed the final 1.1 miles at 4:47 pace. That indicates more like 15:30 fitness. Good opener!
The first 1200m seemed mostly uphill, (I ran the race) which then turned into a park of steeper up and downhills, lots of turns, for a tough 2nd mile. The 3rd mile ran back down the same uphill start so it would make sense to really roll that mile. The course was definitely not fast and honestly for her to run as fast as she did I think it indicates nearer her pr fitness, which would be 15:18. Go Allie!!
It seems like Allie might be exploring challenging herself in ways that are truly of interest to her rather than what is "expected," or just assumed to be the best way, and that's wonderful to see. I hope she is finding satisfaction and continues to move in a good way!
