Joe Klecker is a fine runner. Mad respect for him actually. The guy gets nothing but better. In a world of Drew Hunters, this is great to see. He has the best coach in the business so that helps.

Can anyone ever imagine Galen Rupp losing to Ben True in the 10K in his prime? Of course not! Rupp went nearly 9 years without losing to another American in this event.
Winning was a priority for him domestically. He raced that way!!

1.) Klecker has made an Olympic team, True has (sadly) not. 2.) Fisher has never won a national championship (let alone a global medal). Outside of the probable doping, comparing him to Rupp is laughable.

I think this was the first race that Klecker has ever beaten Fisher and the win was a tenth of a second. To your thought process all of Kleckers losses to Fisher in High School, University, and as a pro would that mean Klecker is less of a man? Of course not, that would a dumb think to say then just as it is now.
Klecker ran a good race and came out on top. Fisher, as he said in his interview after the race, didn’t run a smart race.
Both made the team and so did McGorty. Cheer these guys on. They and others in the race wanted to win but in a race on a given day there is only one such slot.
