This is by far not the solution BUT it's true that schools should only have one way in. They should also have a fence all the way around the school. People shouldn't be able to just walk into a school in today's day and age.

nobody gets in my school without a keycard or a buzz in. this is simple stuff.

These people have turned their brains into nacho cheese trying to avoid acknowledging the real issue. My school only had one entrance. We obviously had more exits. Each classroom had an exit, as well as other main doors to the school, which were locked all the time. I’m baffled that you didn’t understand what they mean.

Why don't we actually enforce existing gun laws? Hunter Biden lied on his gun background check application (a felony with 2 year sentence) and is walking around free with no repercussions.

Will they frisk every kid? Check their ankles? Their waistband? Their backpacks? Every time they enter and re-enter?

You do know the AR-15 was banned for a decade and the statistics show that did help overall.
Obviously not a solve all but it did help.

I've done work on hundreds of schools in many states. It is very rare to find schools (even in rural locations) that don't use a single point of entry. You can exit out the side doors, but entry is almost always limited to one main door (often times with a metal detector and a school police officer). I worked on one school near downtown LA that was surrounded by razor wire with a single point of entry to get into campus. This is not some novel concept. A lot of the schools in California are modular construction, but to first get into the campus, you have to pass through a central entry point.

If it’s common in American it’s not working, you lay so far behind the rest of the western world it’s embarrassing.

Before Columbine all schools had one entrance and walls and armed guards. No violence at all. Then they got rid of all of that because people said kids shouldn’t spend their time in prisons. Around the world, every school resembles a prison and they’re completely safe! Now, look what happens, tragic and the commen sense prison approach is being swatted down by the democrats! Bring back the prison system for schools! It’s the only explanation.
