Agreed. Would give us all more to talk about

Long Form:
Conflated ego and takes himself extremely seriously. It's all fine and dandy now but as soon as he plateaus (ie next year) that flashy personality will be exposed for what it really is-- garden variety spazoid tendencies.
Watch the wesfly guy's toe video response and understand what type of guy he is. Flatt is the same. When reminded of his flaws and limitations he will become an impotent ball of seething, emasculated, southern good ol' boy rage with nowhere to go with it. He'll drop the pretense of any irony and just spout off canned redpill/Jocko Willink ideology at imagined haters and insist he is "changing this sport", "an alpha male/winner/champion", whatever else comes to his mind.
He's good at running but the clash between being a middle distance runner and talking like a heavyweight boxer is embarrasing. He has different competitors all the time and personal beef with none of them. It's not "trash talk", it's just a kid copying Jake Paul. Evert Silva does the same tough-guy act and it's just pathetic.
Literally just say "I want to try to run 1:45 this season" instead of being so gd dramatic all the time. Life is not a movie.
T&F needs a Muhammad Ali. Or at least a Floyd Mayweather.
Great young runner. Don't know why he is saying some of the things he does but he is very fast. It's his business to make statements but I'd leave alot of that out and focus on what he does well which is run fast. Wish him the best. Alot of potential.

Have we found out about the sprinter kid who cold cocked the miler a few weeks ago?
Did he get arrested, or a certificate of achievement?

totally feel this vibe. kinda like giannis or the heat in the nba. like yo i respect you, but we ain't friends and we both want to win so lets not pretend otherwise.
Kentucky neck going to Ole Miss, love it.
If he doesn't flame out and continues in the sport, I get Nick Symmonds vibes.

tough talk coming from a super senior
This. Will be funny to see him fade to irrelevance once the tables are turned he is the one competing against far older competition next year. Until then it will be fun to watch the self hating losers on this forum worship this teenage tough guy.

you can still make friends with your competitors even when you win. thinking everyone is a "fake" friend just because they are a rival says something about you not them. I mean whatever works for you. some athletes need to create conflict that doesnt exist to excel and I get that. some kids run best when they are running angry. but hopefully he will outgrow thinking he needs to be a d*ck to be great.
^this. Kid comes across as a twat.

Moran.
According to LetsRun it's impossible to talk a little trash and not devolve into Jake Paul or Conor McGregor. Got it. If you have a heated rivalry with a few people, you must be mean to everyone and can not make friends with anyone else. Got it. This kid seems like he might be some wesfly-esque idiot, sure. But he's like 18 and doing something more exciting than most of us have done. Professional sports, like it or not, is just Real Housewives for guys. Give him a chance, and maybe if we're lucky, we'll see him in a post-race brawl someday and it'll make it to ESPN8 and we can celebrate the coverage our sport gets!
Its about time that someone In the sport isn’t a genetic beta male.
im here for all the trash talk

This guy is the definition of a beta male. A super senior who can't stop babbling about how great he is? Talking about "rewriting history books with my name" man stfu. He's gonna get chewed up and spit out in college, and to all you guys comparing him to pre? Pre ended up bleeding out under his car in a drunken stupor, so nice comparison lolz

18 year old KID has said…
- I want to be the best of all time
- I want to make these guys hurt
- I’m going to treat other runners like competitors, not friends
… and you liken him to an MMA douchebag?
If anyone looks like a douchebag here, it’s you.

I think at least Centrowitz had legit beefs with other runners, and had hardware to back it up. I see what this guy is trying to do and get it.
The biggest issue isn't him or T&F or the NFL, but to me, there's TOO MANY sports on the internet for people to follow and it's a saturated market.
The kid looks like a college sophomore racing high schoolers. Unless he starts dropping 1:45s next year and making NCAA finals, all this talk is going to be cringe in hindsight.

Either you fell for an 18 year old's heel schtick hook, line and sinker or you're Cade Flatt generating even more controversy for yourself in which case well played
I second this. He doesn't come across well. A little humility goes a long way and no matter how great you think you are, time or another runner will take you down eventually.
