Why were they ever in fashion?
Why were they ever in fashion?
Keira D’Amato wore them in her recent AR.
Because they look repulsive.
Lots of Euro sub-elite dudes still wear them, along with quarter tights and fanny packs.
Nothing says dork-city like a pair of compression socks.
However, I can forgive them in ultras, as the benefit seemingly outweighs the poindexter quotient.
They'll definitely carry more water weight from perspiration or rain.
Because they make you look like you're trying to put on something sexy for your boyfriend.
Everybody is saying they look dorky...I think they look good! Kinda sexy on the women especially.
I've tried compression socks. Never felt any noticeable benefit from them, but I do like to wear them in colder weather. I'd rather wear long socks and shorts that long pants.
Na, they still look gross.
There's something about them that makes men look very effeminate; almost as if they make the hips look wider. I'm sure a fashionista could explain why that is.
The only time a man should wear long socks is if he lives in the 18th century and wears shoes with buckles and a powdered wig.
Thumbs up for originality!

Only sub-elites, vegans ultrarunners, and grandmas wear knee high compression socks. Have you ever seen Galen Rupp wear them? Did Yuki Kawauchi need them to win Boston in 2018? Or any African elite for that matter?
Sandi Morris would like to have a word...
