To address a point above, while you might think it was great to have Jalen Brunson show the NBA that he could be a star without Doncic, it was actually very bad for the Mavericks because it raised the cost of re-signing him to the $20+ million per year range. Yet, he averaged only 16 ppg this season. He wasn't going to be cheap but now he'll bring them a lot of luxury tax and may jump to Detroit. He was a great development this season, only a costly one to them.

In other Dallas news some guy driving down Harry Hines Blvd got in a car accident and had to go to the hospital. This road is know to have underage hookers. I don't know what he was doing there personally. Some guy named Jerry Jones. He might own a football team or something like that.

Jerry Jones or whoever the driver was was not clearly at fault in the sense that the car ahead of him swerved from right to left across all the traffic, leading to the accident. However, Jones's car should have been going a lot slower and might have avoided t-boning the car in that case. But whatever Jones is up to, and there are a lot of court dockets with his name on them, Doncic is having another great series. I was frankly skeptical about the claim that Phoenix had exposed him on defense in the previous game just because he's been in the league a few years now and overall his defensive stats are pretty good. For instance, he was 30th in the defensive rating for this season, and generally is near the top of Dallas's team in that rating. The top 30 is dominated by players from just a few teams like Memphis, Boston, and Utah, so for many it appears to be more of a team than an individual ranking.
